In humid environments, the maintenance points of spray painted cable trays can be summarized as four major steps: "moisture prevention, corrosion prevention, damage prevention, and regular inspection". The specific methods are as follows:

Set up a defense line first during the installation phase

Lifting or Drainage: If it is impossible to avoid low-lying and humid areas, the installation height of the bridge should be raised as a whole (≥ 0.3 m), and drainage holes or channels should be set at the bottom to avoid long-term immersion in water.

Sealed connection: All cover plates and splicing joints are sealed with neutral weather resistant sealant or EPDM gaskets to prevent water vapor from entering the interior of the bridge through the gaps.

Environmental dehumidification: In enclosed computer rooms or basements, small industrial dehumidifiers or hanging renewable desiccants can be installed to maintain a relative humidity of ≤ 60%.

Three Steps to Daily Maintenance

Monthly appearance inspection: Focus on checking whether the spray coating has bubbles, cracks, or peeling. If any local damage is found, immediately use the same color epoxy repair paint to "spot repair" to prevent the steel from being exposed and rusting.

Quarterly deep cleaning: First, use a soft cloth or low-pressure air to blow away dust, then gently wipe the surface with a neutral cleaning agent mixed with water. After that, rinse with clean water and wipe dry. Avoid using strong acids, alkalis, or steel wire balls to avoid damaging the coating.

Half yearly fastening review: Check whether the bridge connecting pieces, bolts, and hangers are corroded or loose due to moisture, replace stainless steel bolts in a timely manner, and apply anti rust oil.

Long term strengthening measures

Coating upgrade: If the environmental salt spray or acid-base concentration is high, a layer of fluorocarbon transparent sealing paint can be added to the original spray coating to increase the corrosion resistance period to more than 15 years.

Backup protection: Install detachable waterproof covers or PVC sheaths on key sections, temporarily cover before the rainy season, and remove after the rainy season, which does not affect heat dissipation and extends the coating life.
