A few days ago, a fan in the backstage roast: "The bridge just installed on the construction site was rusted through after only half a year, and the replacement not only delayed the construction period, but also cost more than 100000 yuan!" In fact, many engineers have suffered from this loss. The cable tray may seem unremarkable, but choosing the wrong one can make you throw away hundreds of thousands of dollars in vain! Today, in the most straightforward way, we will guide you to distinguish the types of cable trays that cause headaches. After reading this article, you can save at least half of your money!

There is a key pattern hidden in this picture: the appearance of the bridge directly determines its "temperament". Just like choosing a tool depends on the job, choosing a bridge requires first understanding the function of each type.

Slot style cable tray: cables that are afraid of interference must rely on it

Last time I went to the MRI room of a hospital, I found that all the data cables were threaded in this' iron box '. The master said, "This machine has a strong magnetic field, so there's no need to close the bridge. The pictures it takes are all snowflakes

The trough bridge is like putting a golden bell cover on the cable, and the fully enclosed structure can block 90% of electromagnetic interference and dust. Like the network cable in the computer room or the equipment control cable in the hospital, using it is definitely correct.

However, it should be noted that the spray painted bridge has the highest cost-effectiveness and is suitable for dry indoor environments. In humid environments, stainless steel can be directly applied, which is more expensive but will not rust for ten years. The aluminum alloy version is lightweight and portable, saving labor for high-rise installation.

Ladder style bridge: a hardcore athlete capable of carrying 'fat guys'

The thick cables in the factory workshop cannot be supported by ordinary cable trays. The ladder style cable tray relies on a "ladder like" structure, which can easily carry heavy cables weighing 20 kilograms per meter, and the hollow design has fast heat dissipation, so you don't have to worry about cable overheating and tripping in summer.

Let me give you an example: a car factory uses ladder style bridge frames that cost 5% more than ordinary bridge frames, but they haven't been replaced in ten years, which actually saves money on three repairs. When choosing, remember: hot-dip galvanized version is the king of cost-effectiveness, and it is also resistant to outdoor use. If the span exceeds 6 meters, choose a large-span ladder frame and install 5 fewer brackets

Tray style bridge: versatile player, but don't use it blindly

In the weak current well of the office building, it is highly likely that this shallow tray shaped cable tray is installed. It is not fully enclosed but has sufficient protection for daily use. The style with holes at the bottom can still leak water, making it particularly suitable for cables in air-conditioned rooms. But some people mistake it for a 'panacea'! The last time I saw the tray bridge in the chemical workshop, it was corroded and pitted in three months. Remember: For corrosive areas, it is better to spend more money on fiberglass material. Combination cable tray: The smart building cable tray, the savior of the construction site for the overall line renovation, is the most headache inducing. Today, add a network cable, and tomorrow install a monitoring device. The modular bridge is like Lego bricks, with the ability to add or remove accessories at any time. In the later stage, changing the line does not require knocking on the wall, and this alone can save 20000 labor costs.

Avoiding pitfalls guide: 3 scenarios where choosing the wrong one will lead to regret

The basement used ordinary steel plate cable trays → rusted for half a year, and the maintenance cost was 30000 yuan for strong and weak current shared trough cable trays → equipment downtime caused by signal interference → closed cable trays were used in high-temperature workshops → cable aging speed accelerated by three times. Finally, I am sending you a selection comparison table, which can be saved for the next purchase directly
