In recent years, the competitiveness of wire and cable production is at the top of the wind. At the same time, the wire and cable industry is entering a critical period of transformation and upgrading. Therefore, it is urgent for the wire and cable industry to analyze its competitiveness and give full play to its advantages. Next, let's take a look at the analysis of the competitiveness of the cable industry in Jinan, Shandong Province, and give you some suggestions.

From the perspective of enterprise type, suppliers of low-end products and low market share cable enterprises have higher bargaining power, while high-end products and high market share cable enterprises are in a relatively favorable position, and the bargaining power of suppliers has decreased significantly.

Cable industry is also faced with the threat of substitution products. The main functions of substitution products are as follows: price competitiveness of substitutes, satisfaction of price and performance of substitutes, and the difficulty of customers turning to substitutes. If the price of substitutes is low, its entry into the market will restrict the price of products in the industry to a lower level, and restrict the income of the industry. The more attractive the price of substitutes, the stronger the restraint and the greater the pressure on the industry.

Secondly, it is a new product. Environmental cable does not contain heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, chromium, mercury, and bromine flame retardant. Environmental protection cables do not produce harmful halogen gases, corrosive gases, less smoke when burning, no pollution of soil and other characteristics are respected by the state and users, so environmental protection cables should be the development direction of wire and cable products in the future.

Generally speaking, these substitutes have limited threat to the wire and cable industry and do not lose their lives. However, we must pay attention to the development trend of substitutes and the bearing degree of substitutes in the market. Only in this way can we be more accustomed to the requirements of customers, supply products more accustomed to the market and improve the competitiveness of enterprises'products.
