As a supporting project of wiring engineering, cable tray has no special specification and guidance, and the manufacturer's specification program is lack of universality. Therefore, the design and selection process should be based on the type and quantity of weak current system cables, and select the suitable cable tray reasonably.

(1) Determine the direction: according to the building layout plan, combined with the air conditioning pipeline and electrical pipeline setting, convenient maintenance, and cable route density to determine the good route of cable tray. Indoor, as far as possible, it should be erected along the walls, columns, beams and floors of the building. If the utility tunnel is used for erection, it should be erected in parallel on one side or above the pipeline, and the intersection of down lead and branch lines should be avoided as far as possible. If there is no other pipe support for borrowing, it is necessary to set up (support) columns.

(2) Load calculation: calculate the weight of the cable per unit length on the vertical section of the trunk line of the cable tray.

(3) Determine the width of the bridge: according to the number of cable laying, cable diameter and cable spacing to determine the model and specification of cable tray, the length of bracket arm, the length and spacing of pillars, the width and number of layers of cable tray.

(4) Determine the installation mode: according to the setting conditions of the site, the fixed mode of the bridge is determined. The suspension type, vertical type, side wall type or mixed type are selected. The connectors and fasteners are generally supplied together. In addition, the corresponding cover plate is selected and folded according to the bridge structure.

(5) The plan and section of cable tray shall be drawn, and the space diagram of local parts shall be drawn, and the material list shall be listed.
