Closed bus duct has advantages such as good heat dissipation, low impedance, and high current carrying capacity. Compared with cables, it can save copper materials by 10-35% and reduce electrical energy loss by more than 15% under the same current carrying capacity. Closed bus ducts are suitable for AC power sources and can maintain long-term operation at a given voltage value. Under the condition of alternating current within one minute, the bus duct will not be broken down and there will be no flashover. The withstand current it can carry and the peak current for a shorter period of time will meet the specifications.

1. The service life of enclosed bus ducts is approximately 2-3 times that of cables and branch cables. Hong Kong, Macau, and some European countries in China clearly stipulate that the service life of cables is 12-15 years. In fact, the service life of the bus duct is as long as 30-50 years. The bus duct can be divided into air insulation category and dense insulation category. Under normal conditions, the inherent structure of bus ducts with air insulation is very simple, and densely insulated bus ducts have high-quality heat dissipation characteristics and high current levels.

2. The electrical shafts and enclosed bus ducts installed in high-rise buildings are equipped with a certain socket diameter, and the installation of such joints should consider multiple human interference factors. However, the initial capacity of the bus duct is large, and the structure is compact, which also has advantages in situations of heavy loads.

3. The use of enclosed bus ducts ensures stable current carrying capacity and avoids unnecessary energy loss. It is important for the bus duct standard to meet the maximum temperature rise current specified in the specifications (i.e. the rated current of the bus duct). This current can control the current carrying capacity of the bus duct. The rated current of a cable is determined by its cross-sectional area. The calculation load varies, and the number of cables inside the cable tray varies. When using different cable trays, the temperature inside the cable tray changes with the above factors, and the current carrying capacity of the cable also changes accordingly.
