Cable tray is the full name for a rigid structural system consisting of straight sections, bends, tees, and tees, as well as support arms (arm brackets), hangers, and other components that tightly support cables in a trough, tray, or stepped manner. There are many aspects to pay attention to in its installation and maintenance. Let's take a look at:

　　1. When installing, the following points should be noted: when using cable trays for wiring in corrosive or particularly humid places, corresponding protective measures should be taken according to the different corrosive media, and plastic sheathed cables should be selected; When cable trays pass through firewalls and fire-resistant floor slabs, fire-resistant isolation measures should be taken; When several sets of cable trays are installed in parallel at the same height, maintenance and repair distances should be considered between adjacent cable trays; If installation is required on the same level of bridge due to limitations, partitions should be used to separate them; When using cable trays for indoor wiring, the cables should not have an outer protective layer made of jute or other flammable materials; Cable trays should not be installed above corrosive gas pipelines and thermal pipelines, or below corrosive liquid pipelines. Otherwise, anti-corrosion and insulation measures should be taken.

　　2. Maintenance of cable trays: The maintenance of cable trays involves both cleaning and upkeep. When cleaning the bridge, gently wipe off the dust on the surface with a pure soft cloth. Remember not to use wet cloths or acidic chemicals to wipe, in order to prevent corrosion of the bridge or induction of electric shock. Clearing dust is just one way of shallow maintenance. To better maintain cable trays, you can use light wax.

Due to the material of the cable tray, after a long period of use, the surface may not be as bright as before. In this case, it can be waxed. Firstly, clean the dust on the surface, then apply a light wax to the surface of the bridge, and dry it after it has dried. The use of wax can not only maintain the bright luster of cable trays, but also enhance their ability to prevent oxidation.
