The width, height, slot width, and slot thickness of cable trays should meet certain requirements to ensure the safe laying and operation of cables. For example, the thickness of steel cable trays is related to the width of the groove, and the specific regulations are as follows:

　　Slot width ≤ 150mm, slot body thickness ≥ 1.0mm

　　Slot width>150mm and ≤ 300mm, slot thickness ≥ 1.2mm

　　Slot width>300mm and ≤ 500mm, slot thickness ≥ 1.5mm

　　Slot width>500mm and ≤ 800mm, slot thickness ≥ 2.0mm

　　Slot width>800mm, slot body thickness ≥ 2.2mm

　　Surface treatment:

The surface treatment of cable trays should comply with relevant national standards, such as hot-dip galvanizing, cold galvanizing, electrostatic spraying, etc., to ensure their corrosion resistance and service life.

　　Fire prevention requirements:

In places with fire prevention requirements, cable trays should be equipped with fire isolation measures and made of fire-resistant materials, such as composite epoxy resin anti-corrosion and flame-retardant cable trays.

　　Grounding requirements:

The cable tray system should have reliable electrical connections and grounding. The total length of the metal cable tray and support should be connected to the grounding (PE) or neutral (PEN) main line at no less than 2 points. The two ends of the connecting plate between non galvanized cable trays should have a copper core grounding wire, and the minimum allowable cross-sectional area of the grounding wire should not be less than 4mm2.

　　Installation requirements:

The installation of cable trays should refer to relevant standard drawings, such as "Cable Tray Installation" 04D701-3, to ensure installation quality and safety.

　　Environmental adaptability:

The selection and installation of cable trays should consider environmental conditions, such as annual average temperature, extreme temperature, relative humidity, altitude, sunshine intensity, maximum wind speed, earthquake intensity, pollution level, etc., to ensure normal operation in various environments.

These standard specifications provide detailed technical guidance and requirements for the design, manufacturing, installation, and use of cable trays, ensuring the safety and reliability of cable tray systems. In practical applications, selection and installation should be based on specific engineering requirements and relevant standards.
