In high-rise buildings, factory workshops, or underground pipe galleries in Jinan, there is a seemingly inconspicuous but crucial facility - cable trays. It is like a suspended "cable highway" that orderly stores the dense power cables and communication optical cables, protecting them from external interference and damage while making the space appear clean and orderly. The design and application of this facility fully reflects practical considerations for cable management, especially in response to the climate characteristics and building needs of Jinan, demonstrating unique functionality and adaptability.

The design of Jinan cable tray fully considers practical needs such as load-bearing, anti-corrosion, and fire prevention, and every detail reflects the protection of cable safety:

Load bearing capacity design

The spacing between the crossbeams and brackets of the cable tray is calculated based on the weight of the cables. Usually, a support point is set every 1.5-2 meters to ensure that the cable tray will not bend or deform due to excessive weight of the cables. For example, the cable tray for laying high-voltage cables will use thickened steel plates, and the brackets will be reinforced with angle steel or I-beams. According to calculations, the cable tray can bear 50-200 kilograms per meter, meeting the laying needs of different cables.

Anti corrosion treatment process

In addition to the corrosion resistance of the material itself, the surface of the bridge will also undergo additional treatment: hot-dip galvanized bridge adopts high-temperature galvanizing process, and the zinc layer is uniform and dense; Polishing or wire drawing treatment is applied to stainless steel bridge frames to enhance their surface scratch resistance; Adding ultraviolet absorbers to fiberglass bridge frames can slow down the aging rate during outdoor use, ensuring long-term stability in the rainy and dusty environment of Jinan.

Fire prevention and grounding design

In places with high fire safety requirements, fire-resistant coatings will be sprayed inside the cable tray to form an insulation layer when exposed to high temperatures, delaying cable combustion; The bridge frame is connected to the building grounding system through a grounding wire, which guides static electricity or leakage into the ground to avoid the risk of electric shock. This design is particularly important in densely populated places such as shopping malls and hospitals in Jinan

The cable tray in Jinan, this seemingly ordinary facility, silently guards the safety of the city's cables with diverse materials, clever structures, and practical designs. From power transmission in industrial production to cable management in building spaces, from indoor cleanliness and orderliness to outdoor climate adaptation, it forms an "aerial channel" to make complex cable systems well-organized. When selecting, comprehensive consideration should be given to cable types, environmental conditions, and space requirements. When installing, attention should be paid to fixation, classification, and detail processing to fully utilize this facility and provide stable cable support for the construction and industrial development of Jinan. It may not be conspicuous, but it is indispensable. With its solid presence, it ensures the power and signal transmission of the city, becoming a silent "behind the scenes hero" in modern infrastructure.
